Kids For Kids Africa call for entries


Children and youth up to the age of 18 and resident anywhere in Africa are called upon to enter films in all genres, lengths and formats for the 3rd Kids For Kids Africa Competition, a programme of the International Centre of Cinema for Children and Youth (CIFEJ).

The 3rd Kids For Kids Competition is held in Nairobi, Kenya, in the framework of the 4th Lola Kenya Screen audiovisual media initiative for children and youth in eastern Africa, which runs from 10 to 15 August.

All films should have been made in 2008 and 2009 only and all kinds of moving images – animation, experimental, documentary, fiction – will be considered. Films in a language other than English must be sub-titled.

Entries will be received, processed, assessed and awarded by an eclectic and international film selection committee and jury comprising children and youth. The winning entries will represent Africa at Kids for Kids international Competition.
