Variety reports that while cinemas have re-opened in Mexico, initial source of the swine flu virus, government health officials have advised movie patrons to sit at least two and half metres apart.

In addition, not only will cinema employees be required to wear masks and gloves if handling food, they will also have to be on the look out for flu-like symptons in their patrons and offer antibacterial gel to ticket holders. Cinemas will be thoroughly swabbed with detergent or bleach following each screening.
