Polish TV feels the pinch


In yet another example of how the recession is affecting all corners of the globe, Polish private broadcast group TVN, which has 14 channels, has retrenched 20 staff members as well as an undisclosed number of contract workers.

There have also been budget cuts for administration, training, consulting services, and conference and business trips. In addition, several shows on TVN’s channels have been cancelled.

Adspend has also been diminishing in the Polish TV market this year according to AGB Nielsen Media Research. (Source: Variety)
