Never a day seems to go by these days without some news emanating from beleaguered public broadcaster SABC. The latest is that Christine Qunta has resigned from the position of director and deputy chairperson of the board and all other structures at the SABC.
The resignation will be with effect from 01 April 2009. No reasons were given for the resignation. The resignation letter was forwarded to the Shareholder (Minister for the Department of Communications) this morning.
This follows months of in-fighting between the board and the SABC’s senior management.
