Oscar-winning director/ actor Clint Eastwood (Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River) has received an honorary Palme d’Or from the Cannes film Festival, which takes place in May this year.
The festival bestowed this honour on Eastwood to “celebrate the talent of a grand master at the summit of his craft”. It is equivalent to a lifetime achievement award.
