The latest trends in digital media will be addressed by two new keynote speakers at the conference which runs alongside MIPTV. Patrick Barry, the VP of Connected TV at Yahoo!, and Dr. Jeffrey Cole, the director of the Centre for the Digital Future at USC’s Annenberg School will focuses on issues such as on-demand TV, cross-platform content production, broadband-video business models, connected gaming and TV convergence, mobility and marketing.
Barry, who leads the Connected TV initiative for Yahoo!’s global Connected Life division, will address what it takes to bring the best of the web to the TV set. How the Internet and mobile technology are changing daily life will be examined by Cole. He heads up the Centre for the Digital Future research and policy institute, which seeks to maximize the potential of the mass media and rapidly evolving communication technologies.
