The American Film Market (AFM) which takes place 7 – 11 November in Santa Monica, will feature conference sessions on issues of importance to the independent sector. Included in the line-up of 14 sessions are film financing, distribution, production incentives and utilizing new technologies. The sessions will be presented by Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld and KPMG.
The kick-off session is the AFM Finance Conference, while other key sessions include Pitch Me!, Web Entrepreneurs: Imagination Meets Commerce and Through Rose (and Aqua) Colored Glasses: The Future of 3D and Getting Your Film Seen..
The seminars and conferences have been compiled by various organizations, such as the Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA), the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the Directors Guild of America, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Women in Film and the Writers Guild of America West.
