It is followed by three new releases, “Fracture’ (the courtroom drama starring Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling), Will Ferrell’s figure-skating spoof “Blades of Glory’ and Jessica Simpson’s “Employee of the Month’. Meanwhile, in terms of overseas box office, “Shrek the Third’, despite having generated bad reviews, earned an estimated $122m in ticket sales in its opening weekend.
