Rob McLennan has been appointed as executive creative director for
FCB Johannesburg. McLennan replaces Brett Morris who leaves the agency to take up a new position at Nando’s.
McLennan is best known in the industry for his work on the Dulux, Axe and Nando’s accounts. He leaves JWT, where he was executive creative director, to start with FCB Johannesburg in May. Prior to his current position he was creative director at Lowe Bull.
Commenting on his move, McLennan said: “For some time, I’ve admired the work that FCB Johannesburg has been doing for its clients, there is no doubt that they build some of South Africa’s greatest brands.’
Welcoming McLennan to the agency, FCB South Africa group executive creative director, Ashley Bacon, acknowledged that the agency would miss Morris talent but said that McLennan had also proven himself as a brand builder.
