Insights from AKQA, Saatchi & Saatchi, the Cannes Debate, M&C Saatchi and R/GA form part of the events which will take place at Cannes Lions (19 – 24 June).
On Tuesday 20 June, “In Hire Them Before They Steal Your Job: Meet the World’s Most Forward-Thinking Students”, PJ Pereira and Lars Bastholm will present work from the AKQA Future Lions Global Advertising Student Competition. The only rule of the competition was to deliver something that couldn’t have been done five years ago.
On Thursday 22 June, Saatchi & Saatchi is back showcasing the latest talent from around the world in the New Directors’ Showcase. Later on that afternoon, The Cannes Debate, featuring Tom Freston (President and CEO, Viacom), Maurice Levy, (Chairman and CEO, Publicis Groupe SA), and JF Decaux (Chairman and Co-CEO, JC Decaux), will look at how new technology is fragmenting audiences and what this is doing to the traditional media owners, moderated by Scott Donaton, Associate Publisher of Advertising Age.
Also on Thursday, Maurice Saatchi from M&C Saatchi will discuss The Strange Death Of Modern Advertising and what to do when you’re about to be buried. While on Friday 23 June, Bob Greenberg (R/GA) will put a new agency model to the test for audiences to judge the results for themselves.
