Big Brother StarGame kicks off on Sunday 6 May in the brand new launch time slot of 8pm CAT and will screen live 24/7 for 91 days on DStv channel 198.

M-Net current affairs programme Carte Blanche has announced that it is appealing a judgement by the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA) regarding an insert that investigated a power-saving product called the Electro Smart apparatus, because it ‘respectfully disagrees with the ruling and imposed sanctions’.

Broadband TV News reports that on midnight on Tuesday, 17 April, London switched off its analogue TV broadcasting signal forever. Some 52 relay transmitters are affected by the digital switchover, freeing up more capacity for the UK’s DTT platform, Freeview.

Khomani San film on SABC3

My Hunter’s Heart, the documentary feature film that focuses on the plight of the Khomani San people, will be broadcast on SABC3 on Saturday 21 April at 9.50pm. The film is directed by the highly acclaimed sibling team Craig and Damon Foster, who also produced the film with Anant Singh and Helena Spring. Music was especially composed for the film by multi-award winner Trevor Jones.
