The first Writers Guild of South Africa (WGSA) workshop for 2011 will take place on 28 May at 9h00 for 9h30, at AFDA, 41 Frost Avenue, Auckland Park, Johannesburg.
This workshop will use the case study of an actual series to explain what goes into the script development phase of a television series, from concept generation based on a commissioning brief to final delivery of scripts for production. The presenters will explain how a writing team is made up and who does what. The three presenters all worked on the series Intsika, but all have a broad range of experience and will reference other series as well. The workshop will conclude with a Q&A.
