
The South African Advertising Research Foundation (SAARF) will be hosting a Community Radio Symposium on Wednesday, 21 September in Johannesburg at the Bryanston Country Club.
The aim of the symposium is to address issues related to the successful running of a community radio station. Presentations will address all related aspects, including managing and marketing a community radio station, research that should be done by radio stations themselves, as well as using and understanding the SAARF RAMS data.
Time will also be made available for delegates to discuss any issues that may affect community radio.
SAARF would like to invite everyone that has an interest in radio to attend this symposium. The programme will run from 09:30 to 17:00.
Speakers include SAARF CEO Paul Haupt; Media Connexions Simon Milne; Africa Media Sales Paul Wilkins, Talk Radio 702 sales manager Malani van Hyssteen; Jenny Griesel, (marketing manager, Jacaranda 94.2 FM); Caren Olsen (programme manager, Metro FM); Errol Tshabalala (station manager, Jozi FM); and Mluleki Ncube (Quest Research Services).
Attendance is free of charge, however seats are limited and only registered delegates will be allowed.
