Radio Blockbusters introduced

Wed, 05 Oct 2011 10:37

To drive innovation and creativity in the South African radio industry, Radmark and Kagiso Media have introduced a new concept called Radio Blockbusters to the market which involves a substantial investment in delivering stand out content to audiences for the benefit of advertisers.

In association with radio stations Jacaranda 94.2 and East Coast Radio, Radio Blockbusters shows a diversity of reality radio campaigns and how they connect and captivate the audience by combining different platforms.

Radmark marketing manager Charlie Wannell says that one would expect new media technologies to dampen radio's influence. "Instead, with Radio Blockbusters, we are proving that with a combination of different platforms and listener driven content, radio remains the top companion medium for the benefit of our advertisers."

The Radio Blockbusters event is happening in Johannesburg to a select audience during October (4,5 and 6), followed by Cape Town and Durban in November. They will consist of a movie screening of reality radio ideas followed by a panel discussion designed to demonstrate that radio still commands attention.

Schedule:
Johannesburg – Killarney Mall
4, 5 and 6 October
Cape Town – Labia on Kloof
1 November (one date only)
Durban – Gateway Shopping Centre
9 November (one date only)
