French music channel’s viral success

TRACE Urban is the only French channel to feature in Adweek.com's 'Top 20 Most-shared Ads of 2011 on Social Networks' list.

The channel made the list courtesy of its exclusive video of rapper Eklips. Four minutes of beatboxer Eklips performing a history of hip-hop in a single take were recorded for TRACE Urban by the DDB advertising agency in January 2011.

The video has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube and was shared by over 687,000 users of all combined social networks.

Launched in 2003 TRACE Urban currently has over 285, 000 fans on Facebook and over 17, 000 followers on Twitter worldwide.
