No more Flash player for mobile devices

Broadcast Engineering reports that Adobe Systems has pulled the plug on its Flash player for mobile devices and will instead develop native apps for mobile platforms. Adobe's focus is now on the HTML5 Web standard.

The company will abandon new mobile browser plug-in development following the release of Flash Player v.11.1 for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook.
However, it will continue to evolve Flash for desktop computing.
