
According to the latest Strategy Analytics report, Multiscreen Connected TV: Assessing Device Usage and Ownership, more than 42 million homes across the US and Europe have smartTVs (Internet-connected television sets).
The report notes that largely due to online services such as Netflix and Hulu, 20% of US respondents watched Internet content on their TV screens in the last month. The European percentage is only 10% by comparison.
