Rwandas Richard Mugwaneza is one of many young filmmakers from around the world attending Campus Studio, part of the Berlinale Talent Campus in Germany.
Running from 9 to 17 February, the Campus Studio is a bustling post-production hub where aspiring filmmakers give films their final touches for the big screen. The Campus Studio programme focuses on practical filmmaking techniques and digital post-production processes. Selected participants are trained on state-of-the-art facilities by top experts in the field.
I am glad to attend the Campus Studio so that I can learn more about editing, colour grading, mastering and data management. Although I normally do all these things, it is usually on poor equipment and without a formal plan of action, said Mugwaneza.
The Campus Studio experts also offer a comprehensive survey of shooting with digital cameras like the Sony F3 and the ARRI Alexa.
Once he returns back home, the young East African filmmaker expects to put this experience to good use - producing good quality and professional films.
