Disneys Oscar noms bonanza

The Walt Disney Company Africa is proud to announce that Disney and Disney-distributed film properties have acquired a combined 12 Academy Award (Oscar) nominations in this year's competition.
The following titles received nominations:
War Horse (DreamWorks Studios, due for theatrical release in SA on 24 February 2012) - six nominations:
Best Picture Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy, Producers
Best Art Direction Rick Carter, Production Designer and Lee Sandalas, Set Decoration
Best Cinematography Janusz Kaminski
Best Music (Original Score) John Williams
Best Sound Editing Richard Hymns and Gary Rydstrom
Best Sound Mixing Gary Rydstrom, Andy Nelson, Tom Johnson and Stuart Wilson
The Help (DreamWorks Studios, due for DVD/Blu-Ray release on 12 March 2012) four nominations:
Best Picture Brunson Green, Chris Columbus and Michael Barbathan, Producers
Best Actress in a Leading Role Viola Davis
Best Actress in a Supporting Role Jessica Chastain
Best Actress in a Supporting Role Octavia Spencer
The Muppets (Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, due for theatrical release in SA on 27 January 2012) - one nomination:
Best Music (Original Song) Man or Muppet, Music & Lyrics by Bret McKenzie
Real Steel (DreamWorks Studios, due for DVD/Blu-Ray release on 2 April) one nomination:
Best Visual Effects Erik Nash, John Rosengrant, Dan Taylor and Swen Gillberg
The 84th annual Academy Awardsฎ will take place on Sunday 26 February in Los Angeles.
