
Twilight fans were out in their numbers the past few days as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 achieved the second biggest opening weekend of all time for South Africa, after The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Local box office results show a five day opening weekend of over R11m with more than 305,000 fans attending the first five days of screenings for the film.
In addition, the film achieved the highest Friday and Saturday box office for any film locally and is also the biggest opening weekend for 2011 surpassing the previous best by 27%.
