New digital filter software

Tiffen International Ltd. has released the v3 edition of its Dfx digital filter software. Dfx v3 adds to over 2,000 established digital simulations of Tiffen's award-winning optical glass filters, with a new range of digital filters providing optical effects and digital correction. It also boasts faster results with multi-processor acceleration for the speedy interaction and rendering of images.

With 10 brand new filters for optical effects, interface improvements and more Tiffen Dfx v3 takes still and moving images to the next level. DeBand, DeBlock and DeNoise counter unwanted digital artefacts. Film Stocks simulates 113 different film stocks. Stylised looks are provided by Colour Shadow, Glow Darks, Key Light, Rays and Texture. Match picks up the colour, detail, gradient and tone of one image and applies it to another.

Dfx v3 is available for Windows XP, Vista and 7, and Mac OS X 10.6x and 11.6x platforms. It can be supplied as Dfx Standalone Software or is available as a plug-in for many of the industry’s most popular applications. Dfx v3 Photo Plug-in is one licence for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Apple Aperture in one machine. The Dfx v3 Video/Film Plug-in can run with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid editing system in one machine.
