Orad shows off at BVE

Any South African techno-heads visiting BE 2012 in London in mid February can drop in on the Orad stand to see the the newest broadcast graphic and video server technology.

Orad’s solutions are designed to provide broadcasters with capabilities that streamline productions and maximise productivity and broadcast workflows.

Headlining the Orad product line up at BVE 2012 are the TD Control, PowerPlay, PlayMaker and Interact solutions.

TD Control allows the TD to select different video box compositions and assign different video sources to each of the video boxes, enabling tasks that could not have been achieved before like switching on air from six video sources to completely different video sources with one click of a button. As soon as the video box combination is selected and the video sources are assigned, the preview channel is instantly updated and with a single key stroke the layout goes on air.

PowerPlay, Orad’s fast turnaround editorial sports workflow, offers fast sports production tools for managing ingest and sports assets to creating highlights.

PlayMaker, the SD/HD slow motion video server, meets the challenges of live sports productions with 8 I/O channels of multi-format ingest, synchronized slow motion replay, and powerful yet simple-to-use fast editing tools.

Orad’s Interact enables TV anchors and presenters to directly adjust and manipulate broadcast graphics using their touch screens, video walls, and other broadcast visual devices. The companion application, Orad Touch, allows presenters to control to control the content and flow of production from their iPad while moving around the TV set freely.
