Sporty graphics at GCC Games

SportStats CG software from wTVision was used for 10 different sports at the GCC Games which took place in Bahrain between 11 and 22 October.

Ten operators guaranteed the real-time graphics service to Live Abu Dhabi Media using the SportStats CG software. The event, broadcast by Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, had volleyball, basketball, bowling, soccer, handball, goalball, swimming, table tennis, cycling and athletics competitions. wTVision’s designers created all graphic templates, which were based on the competition's logo.

Every text was in Arabic with on-site translators provided by the client. Several technologies were integrated with wTVision’s software, such as scoreboards, timing systems, interactive graphics, video servers and different graphics platforms, according to the sport being played and the desired effect.

The fast timing integration for sports such as athletics and swimming coupled with the operator’s experience and SportStats CG software’s great flexibility made a very successful project. Both Live Abu Dhabi Media and the Bahrain Olympic Committee were very pleased with the final result.

SportStats CG is the heart of all wTVision's sports projects. It has built-in features that cover the needs of over 40 different sports. The software provides tools to collect and manage sports data, transforming that information into on-air graphics. This product also integrates data from official sources into the system, enabling the graphics to be aired in real-time.
