e-Gov Africa Forum

The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) is calling for the submission of papers and proposals for its upcoming e-Gov Africa Forum 2012, which takes place at the Grand Palm Hotel in Gaborone, Botswana from 5 to 7 March 2012.

This 6th annual conference will provide a platform for the knowledge-sharing of best practices among peer groups steering ICT projects in electronic delivery of healthcare, education and governance.

Th Forum echoes the Commonwealth’s 2012 theme, “Connecting Cultures”. A special workshop on Web 2.0 focused on parliamentarians and extension officers in rural development and agriculture is also planned.
Proposals under the following broad themes are invited:

  • E-Governance at Work
  • Public Infrastructure for E-Enabled Government
  • Inclusive E-Governance Delivery
  • Security vs. Privacy in E-Governance
  • Open Government
  • Mobile Government
  • ICTs for Food Security and Health
