
South Africa has taken 13th place in the overall country rankings in the 2011 Cannes Report which offers the official and definitive guide to the rankings from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
This came on the back of South Africas particularly strong performances in Radio this year. Johannesburg was also named in the top 20 most creative cities, coming in at 14th.
South African agencies also performed very well with Net#work BBDO Johannesburg winning the Radio Grand Prix and being named the top radio agency overall whilst Grey South Africa in Johannesburg took eighth place in the radio listings.
M-NETs David Everson and Tamar Retter picked up silver awards in the Young Lions competition.
