Visited by around 10 000 buyers in 2010 and 2011, Markex 2012 promises more of the same outstanding innovations and ideas for all aspects of marketing, promotions and special events.
Now in its 26th year, Markex World of Events continues to bring buyers and sellers of the very best corporate clothing, promotional gifts, conference and exhibition venues and solutions, design and dιcor, event planners and management and much more together - in two halls bursting with ideas to set your company apart and leave a lasting impression with your customers.
The value of this incomparable show can be attested to by the almost 10 500 visitors from all sectors of business, creative agencies, PR companies, event organisers and resellers who flocked to Markex World of Events in 2011. The vast majority of visitors indicated that they either make or influence buying decisions - 91 % in fact - with job scope being advertising and brand managers, business owners, chief executives, copy writers, creative directors, FMCG managers and public relations practitioners to name a few.
The main attractions in 2012 include:
Loerie Awards Travelling Exhibition: This annual roadshow will present the winners of the 2011 Loeries to Markex visitors.
USB Speakers Pavilion: Following a hugely successful debut in 2011, the USB Speakers Pavilion will give a stage to the presentation skills of South Africa's top professional business speakers and MCs in an intimate enclosed theatre on a first-come-first-served basis.
Pendoring Awards: A platform to promote and rewards Afrikaans advertising, the Pendoring Awards will showcase all the visual material and Pendoring winners from 2011, along with providing brochures and pamphlets containing comprehensive information, entry categories, prizes and important dates for the 2012 instalment.
Trade Only Section : This personalised environment gives wholesalers and resellers the opportunity to conduct business in a more intimate and personalised setting.
The general access area: Two jam-packed halls featuring every imaginable marketing-related product and service, which is accessible to all visitors.
Access for students is limited to 'Student Day', on the final day of the exhibition, Thursday 14 June, and is by prior arrangement with the organisers. Only students enrolled in marketing-related fields of study will be allowed access on this date, and only to the general area of the show. Students are required to download and complete an application form from the Markex website to gain access on Student Day.
