ALUTA FILM FESTIVAL
The Aluta Film Festival is held each year in Kimberley’s vibrant township, Galeshewe.

The Aluta Film Festival is held each year in Kimberley’s vibrant township, Galeshewe. Over the years the film festival has enjoyed much acclaim for its uniqueness in its programming and its vibrant township setting. An important aspect of the Aluta Film Festival is to be a repository for the stories of people of African ancestry worldwide, as well as stories from the developing world. The festival appeals to a black middle class market that is increasingly interested in African and Diasporan entertainment and cultural products. It annually attracts between 4 000 – 6 000 festival attendees over a seven day festival period.
