25 January 2012: Applications from suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for the vacant position of Receptionist.

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) is a statutory body mandated by an act of parliament (the National Film and Video Foundation Act 73 of 1997) to spearhead the equitable and development of the South African Film and Video Industry. The NFVF seeks to appoint a suitably qualified candidate for the following position:

Position: Receptionist
Reporting to: Accountant
To provide excellent customer service to the NFVF and its customers by answering the telephone efficiently, welcoming and directing visitors appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:
• Answering and screening of incoming calls and quoting the full company name, that is National Film and Video Foundation
• Directing calls correctly to relevant staff members
• Messages are taken and given to relevant staff members timeously
• Answering service is set in the evening and messages are checked the next morning
• Assisting and directing visitors to the relevant departments and staff members
• Advising of staff members when they have visitors
• Visitors are provided with the correct information
• Keeping a record of all incoming and outgoing mail / parcels up to date
• Mail is distributed to relevant departments
• Providing administration back up service to staff members

Qualifications:
• Matric, a post matric qualification will be advantageous

Requirements:
• At least 5 years working experience
• Switchboard operation knowledge
• General office administration
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and staff members
• Good communication and computer skills
• Attention to detail and customer service orientation
• Strong interpersonal skill
