Award-winning South African film-maker, Kevin Harris has initiated a Documentary Director Mentorship Programme to mentor six protégé documentary-directors who have passion for and are committed to developing a long-term professional career as documentary film & video makers in the South African Film & Television Industry.

Kevin Harris is a South African who has lived and worked as an independent filmmaker in South Africa for the past 28 years. In November 2007, he was awarded the Golden Horn Film & TV Award for Life-time Achievement in Documentary Film-making by the National Film & Video Foundation of South Africa.

“FROM THE EDGE” – [ A Documentary Director Mentorship Programme ] is a partnership between Kevin Harris, the National Film & Video Foundation [NFVF] and the SABC Industry Development Hub - and will be implemented in two consecutive phases.
