The Independent Producers Organisation (IPO) and The Producers Alliance (TPA), which together represent 100 production entities producing approximately 80% of all local content, addressed parliament yesterday on the industry’s concern about long term sustainability.

Amongst the issues the presentation dealt with was the SABC’s one-sided contracts, heavy handed management policy, “patronising” operations, low margins and control of creative product.
