Multimillion dollar DAB contract

Harris Corporation has received a multi-million dollar Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) digital radio contract from Norwegian broadcast network operator Norkring that will support the country’s analogue-to-digital radio broadcast transition. Harris will supply hundreds of broadcast transmitters to Norkring over the next three years, supporting the world’s largest DAB digital radio network to date.

South African music radio station 5FM has been nominated for a Worldwide Radio Summit Award. The station is one of five radio stations put forward in the Influential International Station category at the prestigious international awards ceremony, which will be held in Los Angeles at the end of April.
