A collection of satirical sketches from the long running American television variety show, Saturday Night Live (SNL), is being compiled for the Internet. They will be available for viewing on a sub-section of the main SNL website. The new website will be entirely devoted to politics.
Broadcast on NBC since 1975, SNL has been the launchpad for many American comedy stars, with political satire a prominent characteristic of the show.
Visitors to the website will be able to watch SNL performers doing impersonations of politicians, as well as guest appearances of the politicians themselves. Viewers can vote for their favourite SNL presidential-candidate-impersonator.
Other features of the site includes e-cards, games and a political message board.
