The Community Video Education Trust (CVET) will host a meeting on 3 August in Cape Town of filmmakers from "disadvantaged backgrounds", to share films and concerns about filmmaking in the Western Cape.

Representatives on the Cape Film Commission will share their experiences, and CVET will argue for lobbying government for a training and development strategy to advance the opportunity of filmmaking in the Western Cape province. Other matters to be raised at the meeting are filmmaking opportunities, film information and networking.
