Loeries Annual now out

Tue, 19 Feb 2008

The region’s award winning creatives from the 2007 Loerie Awards has been captured in a definitive annual and is now in bookstores and available to purchase on-line. According to the Loeries organization, this pictorial collection of original thinking is aimed at brand custodians, such as marketing managers and heads of companies, as a guide to remaining creatively competitive.

“It is aimed at the communications industry as a benchmark for their future creative excellence. It is aimed at film production companies that want ad agencies to sit up and notice their work. And it is a brag book for all the talented people, including film directors and producers, whose winning ideas and work are gracing the glossy pages,” says Loeries MD Andrew Human.

“Designed by Net#work BBDO, the annual looks like an old- fashioned fridge, both inside and out. Two DVDs, at the back of the book, resembling a donut and a melon, plus a cockroach running along the side, complete the authenticity of the design that was inspired by proud mothers magnetizing their childrens’ school art to the fridge.”

Describing its content, Human says The Loerie Annual is the ultimate reference guide of the year’s best work. “It is indexed by brand, agency and production company, as well as by individual credits. There is no paid advertising, no advertorials and no paid listings. So the only way to get featured in it is to do great work.”

The annual sells for R550 excluding Vat and can be ordered at www.theloerieawards.co.zaor purchased at Exclusive Books and Biblioteq in Cape Town.
