A media briefing will take place in Cape Town on 5 February which will provide more details regarding the development of the mega studio project, Dreamworld Film City.
On 23 January the City of Cape Town approved R30-million in terms of the provision of bulk infrastructure for Dreamworld. The building of a Hollywood-style studio was first mooted by the Western Province in 2002. Dreamworld became the preferred bidder for the project in February 2005.
The media briefing will be addressed by Angelo Manzoni, CEO: Wesgro; Anant Singh, Chairman of Dreamworld; Simon Grinrod, Mayoral Committee Member: City of Cape Town; and Ebrahim Rasool, Premier: Western Cape who will deliver the keynote speech. Singh will provide Dreamworld’s vision for the film studio and introduce the CEO. The programme also includes a “surprise announcement”.
