Arts Alive Festival 2009

Arts Alive Festival 2009 will take place at various venues all over Johannesburg from 1 to 30 September 2009. This feast of arts and culture will feature the very best in home-grown theatre, dance, music, visual art and general entertainment.

In addition, there will be several exciting international collaborations to look forward to, as well as that long-standing Joburg institution, Jazz on the Lake, which brings smooth sounds to Zoo Lake on Sunday, 6 September.

The festival’s focus this year is on forging partnerships with community groups and giving exposure to Joburg artists and arts practitioners from across the length and breadth of the city
