Professional Services
Sony's Professional Services division has an established expertise in broadcast and media, retail and venues and offers the design and integration of customised solutions. The complete range of services available includes consultancy, systems design, installation and commissioning.
For nearly 30 years Sony has been building television studios. Customers have ranged from state and commercial broadcasters to independent facility companies and educational establishments. Across these organisations, a wide variety of business, operational and technical requirements have been satisfied.
From modest corporate training and presentation studios to fully equipped High Definition light entertainment studios, no system is too large or too small. And as broadcast systems evolve from video tape to embrace file based transfer and storage of content, Professional Services has built up substantial experience of IT based infrastructures, when integrating studios into the broadcast chain.
With offices across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the CIS, it is our local staff who frequently take the lead in the early stages of planning. These staff complement core specialists to ensure that the design and implementation of your studio fully addresses all cultural and regional requirements.
The best results are achieved when our Professional Services team have early involvement in the planning of a project. This might be simply to provide ideas from previous projects, best practice or to look in detail at specific needs and help to develop the specification.
As television studios rarely operate in isolation, we aim to consider this new investment in the context of a company’s overall broadcast system. In particular, we are able to provide advice on how current plans can help the integration with future development for the rest of the technical infrastructure.
No manufacturer produces all the items needed for a specialist broadcast system and Professional Services prides itself on our good relationships with many of the key players in the industry.
