* Directing audio flow according to picture - studio and location
* Training audio assistants
* Setting up and oversee various audio configurations
* Audio signal distributions
* Checking audio conforms to broadcast standards e.g EBU, sync
* Liaising with TD about show requirements
* Converting audio formats to format required for broadcast
* Setting up and checking remote feeds
Knowledge of:
* microphones
* nature of sound and acoustics
* the comms system
* live television broadcasts/shows e.g. News
* Computer literate
Understanding of:
* control room hardware
* broadcasting environment
* language of television
* role players
Ability to:
* work with live and pre-record environment
* work under pressure
* work with crew and talent
* have excellent timing and coordination skills, quick reactions and high levels of concentration
* take direction
* give instruction
* troubleshoot
* have a good hearing
* The successful candidates will be required to work irregular hours including weekends and public holidays
* These are contract positions only
